Having completed and submitting the application form for membership of the Bouncer And Security Collective you agree and acknowledge to the following conditions, subject to all members, affiliates, in their entirety. This agreement is contractual and legally binding.
Once an application is accepted, you herby adhere to these provisions and sign these terms electronically, thus creating a legally binding agreement between you and BASIC.
Bouncer And Security Industry Collective is an independent professional body established to protect the rights and reputation of employees in the security industry in Ireland.
Application for membership must include a Private Security Authority (PSA) licence number. Membership is subject to approval by BASIC. Application for membership will be processed upon receipt of a completed application form and the appropriate fee paid.
All members are required to be in possession of a current PSA licence relevant to their employment. No licence or an expired licence renders their membership invalid.
BASIC reserves the right to discontinue/change/amend benefits without prior notice though members will be notified of any changes via e-mail.
BASIC shall not be liable for any claim arising out of the performance, non-performance, delay in delivery or defect in the services nor for any special indirect, economic or consequential loss or damage howsoever caused (including loss of profit or loss of revenue) whether from negligence or otherwise in connection with the supply, functioning or use of services rendered by BASIC. Any liability shall in any event be limited to the membership fee.
Payment for membership is processed online. This is regulated and adhered to via E-Commerce, terms, and conditions. Also in accordance with registering with BASIC, you are bound and adhere by Electric Commerce (EC Directive) regulations 2002 and the EU’s Electric Commerce Directive 2000.
Membership is paid either monthly or annually and is the responsibility of the member. The party will not be able to avail of services if at the time of the incident/discrepancy/issue to be addressed the membership is not paid in full.
The Party cannot back pay membership to avail of services but only for continuation of membership.
BASIC reserve the right to terminate membership without prior notice of discontinuation of membership. The party will be notified of this via e-mail.
The use of online gateways is at the party’s risk and only when payment has been transmitted that BASIC takes responsibility.
Discontinuation, impromptu payment, lack of full payment will result in membership been withdrawn.
Reactivation will require a new application for membership and is subject to approval by BASIC.
Membership is non-transferable.
Although BASIC has made reasonable endeavours to ensure all information on this site is accurate and true it is possible that the information is incomplete, contain errors or be out of date. You must verify this information before acting on it.
The membership will be terminated if the party should try to use the membership benefits in conjunction with, to support or otherwise engage in fraud or any other unlawful activity.
Basic reserve the right to terminate membership, without refund if any parties are found to be abusive to any member of BASIC staff or their associates.
BASIC accepts no liability for breach arising from a members conduct during the tenure of BASIC membership.
If a member provides false or misleading information BASIC hold reservation to remove membership without prejudice. Members will be liable for breach and remuneration to satisfy said breach.
The member shall be liable to pay BASIC all reasonable costs, charges or losses sustained or incurred by BASIC (including any direct, indirect, or consequential losses) that arise directly or indirectly from the members conduct.
BASIC is entitled to sub-contract out all or part of its work or services.
BASIC is not liable for any losses incurred by members as a result of providing their services.
Cases regarding claims for compensation will be assessed by a security consultant and deemed eligible for compensation will be pursued by BASIC on behalf of the member.
The member is responsible for submitting a medical report to BASIC. The cost of this report will be included in their claim for compensation. BASIC will cover all further costs to the point of a first offer of compensation.
If the member refuses the first offer of compensation, which they are entitled to do, professional fees of a reasonable amount will be incurred and included in the claim, payable by defendant or insurance company upon settlement of the claim.
If no compensation is awarded the member will not be liable for fees incurred. BASIC will absorb this cost.
All memberships paid on a monthly rollover basis require a 30-day notice for cancellation.
